B&W Trailer Hitches Companion Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch

Engineered to eliminate sloppiness, the Companion series offers the smoothest ride on the road. The Companion Slider attaches to your Turnoverball under-bed mounting system, which means you can pull a fifth-wheel or gooseneck hitch with the same system. Just like the Turnoverball, the Companion Slider gives you easy install and removal without sacrificing sturdiness, reliability, or towing power. The Companion Slider offers 12″ of slide for additional turning clearance. RVK3405 consists of two boxes: RVB3405and RVC3006

Out of the Way

The Companion features a clean, level bed when not in use. Installation is a breeze. Drop the post on the base into the hole in the bed, latch into place in the wheelwell, and tighten the drawdown bolt. Then set the coupler on the arms and pin in place.

Effortless Coupling

The Companion handle operates effortlessly and never leaves you in a bind, thanks to the use of a cam. When the handle is open, the cam moves out of the way allowing the jaws to open when you pull away and uncouple. When the handle is closed, the cam prevents the jaws from opening, preventing accidental release.

Quiet Ride

We set out to build a hitch with the smoothest ride in the industry. Our jaws are machined to precisely fit your coupler, so there isn’t room for sloppiness. A shock absorber allows side-to-side movement without slamming. And the whole coupler rides on polyurethane bushings that absorb roughness from the road.

Adjustable

A series of holes in the base gives you both height and distance adjustability. Switching the slanted arms from one side to the other increases the distance.

Slider Option

The Companion is also available as a slider to help you navigate those tight corners with a short bed truck. Flip the lever and the Companion slides back 12 inches so you can maneuver without getting your trailer into your cab. When you’re ready to tow, flip the lever again, and the slider locks into place as you back up.
